Information for students making a visa application from the United States Important Changes to UK Visa Applications in the USFrom 15 July 2025, there are significant changes to how you apply for your UK visa if you're in the United States. VFS Global is opening 38 new UK Visa Application Centres (VACs) across the US, replacing the current system run by the US Department of Homeland Security.This means you cannot book new appointments at an Application Support Centre (ASC) after 15 July. You can still attend an ASC until 1 August if you have already booked an appointment.There are multiple ways to submit a Student visa application from the US and the process can sometimes be confusing to applicants.
